1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit, such as your login status and preferences, making subsequent visits easier and more useful.
2. How ChairHop Uses Cookies
ChairHop uses a minimal set of cookies, focused on essential functionality. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking purposes.
3. Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for ChairHop to function and cannot be disabled.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session token | Keeps you signed in to your account | Session / 30 days |
| Cookie consent | Remembers your cookie preferences | 1 year |
| CSRF token | Protects against cross-site request forgery | Session |
4. Analytics Cookies
As of this writing, ChairHop does not use any analytics cookies or third-party tracking services. If we introduce analytics in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent before setting any non-essential cookies.
5. Third-Party Cookies
When you use social login (Google or Apple), those providers may set their own cookies during the authentication process. These cookies are governed by the respective provider’s cookie and privacy policies. Stripe may also set cookies related to payment processing.
6. Local Storage
In addition to cookies, ChairHop uses browser localStorage to store your authentication tokens and cookie consent preferences. This data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our servers except as part of authenticated API requests.
7. Managing Cookies
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Use the cookie consent banner on your first visit to accept only essential cookies
- Adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies (note: this may affect functionality)
- Clear your browser’s cookies and localStorage at any time (you will be signed out)
Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from signing in or using core features of ChairHop.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies evolves. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on the Platform. Continued use of ChairHop after changes constitutes acceptance.
